This exchange made my mother laugh:
"Are you bringing the garment bag or packing any "dress" clothes?"
"I'm packing a dress in my suitcase. You should bring something nice, too."
"My suit?"
"No - too dressy."
"Like a shirt and tie?"
"I don't want you in a tie, more like a nice dress shirt - Think Brad Pitt vacationing in the South of France."
* * *
What made me laugh (in astonishment) is how my kids have been on "best behavior" (for them, anyway) since my mom got here. Not once have they engaged in a shouting match of opposites or fought over the same toy/chair/cubic meter of air. In fact, they actually played together all evening. When Nana took them up to brush there teeth, I heard no screaming - not even from Kiki. Then, they all climbed in to Logan's bed, and Logan only objected when we tried to take Kiki out of his bed and put her in her crib.
I hope they don't keep this up while we're gone, because that really won't be a fair challenge for "Nana 911".
Since you aren't there when Nana is in charge, there is a possibility that she is the REAL Mary Poppins and the kids are under her spell *smiles* or maybe she just has "normally no-no" goodies in her suitcase and they are patiently waiting for mom and dad to va-moose so the party can begin! Be safe, happy anniversary, have fun, and don't worry!

"no-no" goodies? You mean like twinkies and soda pop? Back issues of People magazine? Nail polish? Because we let them have all that. . . Just please, no Barney videos.

Now we have a great walkway that goes to the beach and to the canals that came from the partnership of community with government
