On the Fifth Day, God Created Mylanta
A few weeks ago, I began volunteering with a new program at our church called Logos - a Christian children's ministry that combines worship skills, recreation, church family time and bible study. The Logos leaders called me to help teach bible study to Kindergartners (oh, the irony). Predictably, we've started with Genesis and the creation story.
Each week, we emphasize the different things that God made and the order in which they were made: first, there was land and water, then plants and flowers, then lights in the sky, then the animals, then people. This week, we talked about God creating the sun, moon and stars, which led to a discussion of the planets - one of Logan's favorite topics.
"Jupiter is my favorite planet."
"Oh? Why is that?"
"Because it's full of gas!!!!"
"Ah. I can see how you'd relate."
